XXI Moscow’s work in Russia
Over the last decade Ensemble XXI Moscow has dedicated itself
to travelling throughout Russia from the Arctic
Circle to the Russian
Far East, giving concerts to audiences starved of music since
the break up of the Soviet Union. Without exception, musicians
through the ages have been inspired to study music through
performances that they heard as children. Yet thousands of music
lovers and potential musicians have been abandoned in present day
Russia due to the lack of subsidies for the arts since the break
up of the Soviet Union. Ensemble XXI's performances throughout the
vast territory of Russia are only possible through sponsorship by
companies that believe in sustaining the high cultural standards
for which Russia is renowned.
Ensemble XXI Moscow does not get any government or regional
grants. Its financial existence relies completely on donations and
sponsorship.
A sponsor can support the orchestra by underwriting its ongoing
annual expenses or by sponsoring a tour or a single concert or
simply by becoming a patron with a smaller amount of money. All
donations are greatly appreciated and play a vital role in our
work.
